Since the majority of the Heartless had been expelled from Traverse Town the brave actions of Sora and company things had become relatively peaceful. Some people returned to their home worlds while others chose to stay and establish new lives. New businesses were opened, new families were made, and the dark days that once plagued them in the past were like a forgotten nightmare. The Heartless still inhabited the world, but their numbers had dwindled significantly. It only required a small task force of citizens to combat them. For all it's worth, this place had become a relatively safe place.
Up in the midday sky was a bright light that seemingly appeared from out of nowhere. It had managed to catch the attention of the locals, but most typically brushed it off after a moment or two. However, as this light started to grow bigger and bigger more people began to take notice, and even more of them started to become worried. As the light came closer to the town it soon became apparent that it was no light, but a giant fireball heading directly towards the Second District.
Orders were issued for people to evacuate the area, and all of the buildings were abandoned. Before long the entire area was cleared out, and the citizens could only watch helplessly as the flaming entity descended upon their world. Colliding with the rooftop of one of the buildings the no longer flaming vessel slammed into the stone pavement of the Second District. It's moment not stopped by the initial crash it would continue to skid until the charcoal vessel reached a complete stop infront of the fountain. The smoking gummi ship would not move, nor would it show that it had any sign of life inside of it. The only thing that could be determined about this ship was that it had been through Hell and high water to reach this place.

'I think I might leave today.' he said to himself. A small smile was placed on Naiji's face as he left his home. Dressed in his usual strange attire, the goofball teen left his small shack, hugging his father goodbye. He didn't know when he would see his father or his brothers again. It would be a hassle to be away. He never was away from home. But he wasn't going to back out of leaving. This wasn't for him. It was for his friend. He had to find Chiro. Or die trying. There was no other way. And so as he slung his bag over his broad shoulders, and wrapped his scarf around his neck even though he was burning up, he thought about the Gummi Ship he and Chiro financed. Hopefully it would hold up. It was third-rate.
He started through the skin with a dreamy look in his eyes. It meant trouble. He was dreaming about what he would do in that ship. Everyone in Traverse Town knew Naiji was trouble. No one even wanted to dream how much trouble he would be behind the wheel of a Gummi. Some people in the town thought that Naiji crashed today. So as he walked through the streets, he attracted a fair amount of stares.
"How on the Titan's earth does that boy do it?"
"He survives Ifrit's fire and back!"
Naiji at this point had no idea what they were talking about. He took the compliments though. He smiled widely at them, and they bit their thumbs at him. He didn't mind though. Nothing could bring him down today. Nothing at all. However, just as he had that notion, what looked like a miniature sun collided with the earth infront of him. It torn into the ground, scratching and making a shrilling sound. Naiji was shot backward by the mere force of the impact. He shot upward quickly however, running toward the fallen object. He stood looking at the fire, hoping to hear someone's cries so he could jump in for the rescue.

As the blackened gummi ship lay in its smoking crater in the middle of the Second District many people started to return to see the spectical. For a ship to be so heavily damaged that it had no choice but to land in such a violent manner meant trouble. Rumors began to circulate amongst the growing crowd of observers, each wanting to know just what this ship housed. Some believed it to be a container of Heartless. Others thought it was simply some ship that got attacked by pirates. In only a few minutes after the crash the story behind the ship had been spun into so many variations it was hard to keep count.
Five minutes after the crash seemed to pass by quickly. Those five minutes turned to seven, those seven to eight, and before long ten whole minutes had gone by since the crash. In that time not a single movement was made, and the only sounds that came from the area were the flames from the burning metal. The silence would soon be cut short by the sound of a loud bang from inside of the cockpit. At that point the glass began to splinter, and several more explosive bangs went off in the cockpit before the glass shattered.
Upon seeing this the crowd all jumped back in fright, but continued to watch the spectical at hand. A low groaning could be heard as a shadowed figure slowly crawled out of the broken glass, and falling haplessly onto the ground. The humanoid figure landed on its rear with a loud thud, and looked around at the crowd with a dazed look. Blood was trickling down the side of the male's face from a wound recieved from the crash.
Panting heavily the dark haired male pushed himself up onto his feet, just barely able to stand properly. A single half opened eye managed to focus in on the pink haired boy that stood near the crash site. Gritting his teeth he weakly raised his right arm towards him, and in a bright flash of light a silver pistol with a black grip1 appeared in his hand. Aiming it at the pink haired guy's head as best he could the gunman spoke.

Well... this sure was weird. Not only had a huge ol' Gummi Ship just crash in-front of him. Not only that, but this fool ran up out the thing, and pointed a gun at him. And where the heck did he get that gun? Naiji didn't know. How strange. How strange indeed. Maybe this was a bad omen. Maybe... Naiji's small eyes seemed to widen seven times. He stared down on the boy. The fire licked the air behind him. He just barely was within its range. Naiji couldn't help but feel bad. But a the same time, he wanted to laugh. This sure was funny. This retarded kid was pointing a gun at him, and barely had the energy to raise his gun.
Maybe he should just leave... His Gummi Ship was waiting just a way off. It wasn't that far. He tried to examine what was beyond the red-hot tongues that shot out of the ground. As he did, he couldn't help but glance down at the pathetic figure that was now on its feet. Maye he should help him. He seemed to not have a single clue what the hell was going on. Naiji knew the feeling. And that alone is what evoked his emotions. Naiji inched closer, glaring into the dark-haired boy's eyes. Naiji examined his feeble frame for a moment, then turned his head to the side, crossing his arms.
"We're in Traverse Town." he said, staring off to whence the ship descended. There behind his path was a path of red gases. It popped against the sky, leading straight to this site. At this point, the people around the ship had began to clear out. Soon enough, this ship would be cleaned by the resident heroes. Naiji really had nothing to worry about. But this boy still tipped his intrigue. Raising his brow, he looked back to him. "Why such the dramatic landing?"

As his battered and bruised frame stood near the scene of the crash it seemed as if time was at a stand still. Blood was caked over his left eye from the head injury he had recieved. The arm used to hold up his gun struggled to stay in place as he aimed in the general direction of the pink headed person before him. Fatigue and pain swamped his body from head to toe. His head throbbed every time he felt his heart beat, every breathe he took was labored, and with each breathe a surge of pain pulsed through his body. Gradually, his vision was beginning to blur, and he couldn't tell whether it was because of his blow to the head or if he was just exhausted.
Hazel brown orbs darted from the person infront of him to the crowd that had gathered to see the cause of the destruction. Wary eyes looked at one another as they tried to judge the situation. Murmurs could barely be heard over the insessent ringing that only seemed to be growing as each second passed. His gaze soon drifted to the burning wreckage that littered the district. The light emitted by the flames seemed to have been amplified, and only served to make his headache even worse. Words uttered by the pink haired man were lost to the youth as he fought to remain conscious. Though, the words did managed to bring his attention back to the pink haired man. Or, rather...the pink haired men. Standing right next to the man was an exact duplicate of him, imitating every motion that his counterpart did.
"Since when were there two...," the young gunman managed to mutter out before his legs went limp. Dropping to his knees the gun in his hand fell to the ground, skidding a few feet away from him. For a moment he remained in this position, on his knees, arms by his side, and a dazed expression on his face. Slowly everything around him began to fade into black and his body fell helplessly to the ground -- unconscious.

"What the hell~!!?" Naiji interrogated in vain. He grunted as he watched the feeble boy fall to the floor. His eyes inclined in nothing but pure annoyance. He was really working on his nerves. This was supposed to be Naiji's big day. I mean, huge day. But this little retard goes and crashed his third-rate gummi into the middle of the port. Crossing his arm, the pink-haired pirate walked closer to the boy. The heat began to work on his face, but he didn't care. He walked past him, into the fire, kneeling down to place his hand onto the gun that had skidded away.
"I'll teach you to point a fricken gun at me!!" he bellowed as he ran up out the fire and knelt next to his unmoving body. He placed the cold metal frame against his thick nappy roots. "Mm... homeboy needs to wash this jungle.", Naiji said sarcastically. He pressed it against what little skin it could cut through. He grunted as he noted that he was simply not going to move. How troublesome. Naiji placed the gun into his sling, and placed his hand on the boy's collar. He would have yoked up his hair, but he was scared something would roll up on his hand and poison him. That or blow up Traverse Town. Hey, you never know. Strange sugar honey iced tea happens.
"Yo, pops!" Naiji called as he kicked his shack door in. His raised his hand above his head as he screamed for his father. Over his shoulder, the strange retard hung. "Give this 'tard a bed, son!"
"I know you aren't talking to me that way, boy!" his father called out as he went upside his head with his metal cane.
